We provide families with the support and assistance they need to make the most of their days together. Agate Home Care provides more than just in-home care. Our specially trained caregivers provide compassion, moral support, and help around the home during especially emotional situations.

Agate Home Care provides loved ones with a level of care that helps preserve their dignity and provides a quality of life that can only be achieved at home. We are also there to provide support for family and friends coping with the emotional challenges and additional time commitment.

We will help care for your loved one, as well as assist around the house and provide the family with emotional and moral support. The end of one’s life is an upsetting time, but Agate Home Care's services can lessen stress for everyone involved.

Respite care for families and caregivers

We know that caring for a loved one at the end of life can be emotionally challenging and physically exhausting, especially for the primary caregiver and family members. Our caregivers can provide respite care, or temporary relief for caregivers. This allows time to recharge, go to work, run errands, or simply take a much-needed break to avoid burn-out or frustration.

Respite care can be provided in home or in a care facility, including nursing home, hospital, or senior center. Our respite services can include:

• Light housekeeping, such as laundry and cleaning
• Grocery shopping and meal preparation
• Errands, including picking up medication
• Companionship for conversation, social support, and simply someone to talk to

Agate Home Care creates custom care plans for every client, family, and situation. We continuously communicate with family members, hospice, or other care providers, adapting care and services to the client’s changing needs.

Should families need support after loved ones pass, we can continue to help them deal with the grief and many of the tasks they will face. From consolidation and organization of personal items to moving belongings or just being there for the family to talk to, we are there to help lighten the burdens a family may feel.

Compassionate, Caring Hospice Assistance

Our goal is to provide assistance and comfort to your loved one and to help families make the most of their limited time together. In addition to respite care, we provide companionship and personal care, including:

• Bathing and toileting assistance
• Assistance with activities of daily living, including dressing and grooming
• Light house cleaning, including laundry as needed
• Meal preparation and mealtime together
• Companionship to your loved one so you can get a much-needed break

We train our caregivers to demonstrate both compassion and steady-handed professionalism, providing comforting reassurance during the many ups-and-downs that come with the end of life.
